What are Covenants?

Most Homeowners Associations (HOA) or Property Owners Associations (POA) have established Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs) for its homeowners and residents.

CC&Rs are mandatory restrictions, limits, and rules placed on a group of homes by a builder, developer, and/or a HOA or POA.  They take affect as soon as the homeowner purchases a home in that neighborhood or subdivision and remain in effect until the home is sold.  

​

Likewise, River Road Estates POA has CC&Rs in place.  They focus on property appearance, maintenance and condition, neighborhood environment, and resident safety.  Click "CC&Rs" on the dropdown menu to view more information.

What are Bylaws?
